		<description><![CDATA[Ashura detainee Hadi Ghaemi, who had been confined in Ward 350 of the Evin Prison, has been sent to exile in the Gonbad Kavous Prison.]]></description>

After a long wait, they were informed that he has been exiled to Gonbad Kavous Prison.</p>
<p>According to the Iran Human Rights and Democracy Activists, Hadi Ghaemi is an Ashura detainee. He was arrested a few days after the Ashura protests when the Intelligence Ministry officials raided his house. He was transferred to the solitary confinement unit of Ward 290.</p>
<p>According to the report, during his detention in Ward 290, he was under physical and psychological torture in order to make false televised confessions.</p>
<p>The Revolutionary Court sentenced him to death for participating in the Ashura protests but the 53<sup>rd</sup> branch of the appeals court sentenced him to 15 years in prison and exile to the Gonbad Kavous Prison.</p>
<p>Ghaemi is a Tehran resident and his exile to Gonbad Kavous will result in many problems for him and his family.</p>

<p>According to the RAHANA reporter, she has reported her poor physical condition to the prison and clinic authorities but has not received any treatment.</p>
<p>Her husband Vahid Laelipour stated that during the prison visit, Mahdiyeh mentioned that she even has problems with drinking water and becomes nauseous after eating or drinking and this may be the reason for her weight loss.    </p>
<p>Mahdiyeh Golrou was arrested on December 6<sup>th</sup> and is currently serving her 3 year prison term.</p>

<p>According to the RAHANA reporter, Pishkar who had been detained in the recent weeks in Rasht, was released on bail.</p>
<p>Behrouz Sadegh-Khanjani, a Christian Pastor, who has been in prison for 3 months, was indicted after he was taken to the court.</p>
<p>His charges included apostasy, blasphemy, participation in anti- regime groups and anti- regime propaganda. Since the charges were baseless, his lawyer objected to the court twice but his objections were overruled.</p>
<p>It seems that he has been held in temporary detention in order to prevent the members of his church (Iranian Church) from engaging in faith related activities.</p>

<p>Previously, Mokhtar Houshmand and Behzad Kurdestani, two Kurdish social and art activists, had been detained by the Marivan security forces.</p>
<p> Aziz Naseri, a Kurdish poet and a translator, had written poems and translated several other Kurdish poems to Persian in addition to being a school teacher.   </p>
<p> In the recent months, several cultural activists in Sanandaj and Saghez have been arrested.</p>

<p>The Mokrian News Agency has reported that he was sentenced to one year in prison for collaborating with illegal groups.</p>
<p>According to law, prisoners have the right of confinement at their place of residence and Soleimani’s right has been violated.</p>

<p>According to the Democracy and Human Rights Reporters, he has over 14 years of experience in different schools and universities and had been detained on January 4<sup>th</sup> by the security forces.</p>
<p>There are reports that many of the political prisoners such as Farah Vazehan, Ali Saremi, Jafar Kazemi, Javad Lari, Mohammad Ali Aghaei, and Ahmad and Mohsen Daneshpour who have recently been sentenced to execution by the Revolutionary Court are in serious danger since their sentence may soon be carried out.</p>

<p>The arrest of the clerics and followers of Ayatollah Dastgheib is taking place while the Basijis who attacked the Ghoba Mosque are comfortably planning another unlawful action.</p>

<p>According to Savalan Sasi, the security officials had gone to his house in the recent months in order to arrest him. They had searched his house but were unable to detain him since he was not home.</p>
<p>The civil rights activist had been detained in June of 2003 and 2004 during the Ghaleh Babak ceremony and had also once been arrested in 2006.</p>

Marvi refused to obey the orders since their request was unlawful,. He was eventually detained following a confrontation with the police.  </p>
<p>According to the Majzouban Nour website, he was indicted after being transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office. His temporary detention warrant was issued and the officials returned to his workplace and collected the pictures after breaking the entrance door.</p>
<p>The Dervishes and the residents of Gonabad objected to the police officials’ actions.</p>

<p>The intelligence officials have searched his house after entering his house and have transferred him to an undisclosed location.</p>
<p>It seems that the recent arrests of the religious minorities who have allegedly been charged with acting against national security have taken place to terrorize their followers.</p>
