RAHANA- Christian citizen Alireza Seyedi who had been arrested during a religious session, was released from prison on bail on Sunday 25 July, 2010.
According to RAHANA’s reporter, on June 18, 2010, security agents had raided the house of Behrouz Sadegh-Khanajani carrying electric shockers, and arrested his wife Fatemeh Tork-Kajouri, Mehdi Karbalaei-Ali, Afshin Vafadaran and Alireza Seyedi, during a religious session. These citizens are all former Muslims converted into Christianity.
Fatemeh Tork-Kajouri, Mehdi Karbalaei-Ali and Afshin Vafadaran were released last week on $20,000, $100,000 and $60,000 bail amounts, respectively. However, no information is available about the whereabouts and status of Behrouz Sadegh-Khanjani, a Christian pastor who had been arrested on June 16, 2010 while he had visited the Intelligence Office in Shiraz to present explanations and clarify a number of issues.
