Transport Workers’ Union Member Reza Shahabi Held Incommunicado

There is no information as to the condition of Reza Shahabi , an executive board member of the Transport Workers’ Union who has been detained since June 12, 2010.

RAHANA: Shahabi had called his family 3 times before June 22^nd. He has not contacted them at all in the past 2 weeks.

According to Kaleme, in his last conversation, he had complained of neck and back pain. His family is very concerned as to his condition.

His family and his lawyer have referred to the Prosecutor’s Office and the Civil Rights Court but they have not been able to get any responses from the authorities.
